Murfie says "kind of like eBay or swap.com, combined with iTunes or an Amazon music locker," co-founder Preston Austin.

Carter Hooper had a problem. The 51 year-old from New Orleans for many years had to lug around his collection of 900 CDs.

"These things Katrina, survive", he says. "I was in Katrina;" "I was there that almost in Biloxi, Miss., in a building, and got way, but I had stacked these treasures in the cupboard."

Hooper discovered then, Murfie, a company based in Madison, Wisconsin, where he ship all his CDs free of charge and could retain possession of them.

Murfie is far too many people. Hooper, it was a dream come true: Murfie burn your old CDs into a digital file, prepare the cases and sell even the album on the Internet. It is a part of flea market, part of iTunes.

Murfie digitized Hooper of the entire collection, and now he can access all his CDs online through Murfie website.

Members can have the site your own personal store where they sell or trade albums from their collections. Murfie takes a 30-percent cut from a sale, but stores are free of charge. Hooper says that he has been charged already around $50.

Co-founders Preston Austin admits that it not easy to describe Murfie.

""It's like,"it's a bit like eBay or Swap.com in conjunction with iTunes or an Amazon music locker", ", he says."

But in contrast to iTunes, Murfie in real, physical CDs. They just never see them. Tens of thousands of CDs ordered their camp houses for easy access.

Despite this large numbers, the camp is actually less than the most living room. It is the central space in Murfie of the Office suite on the eighth floor of a downtown bank building. There are two silver utility shelves in the camp. Each is packed like shoe boxes from top to bottom with hundreds of white open-top boxes. Within each field, there are dozens of CDs and their jackets, barcode and nested in simple white envelopes.

The plastic cases are nowhere to be seen. This is because they are valuable. Murfie, recycled it $1,500 a ton and Austin makes, that they be reused 100 tonne cases next year.

All of these CDs come from members such as Hooper. Some use to sell Murfie or trade their CD collections. Others have Murfie who download their music, rip, the cost of a dollar per album. And some are just store their CD collections for $12 per year.

"In the background we all this, the type of move property have in our warehouse", says co-founder Matt Younkle Murfie. "Everything comes back to real, physical property." We make it really easy to get the property without a box of slices in your wardrobe. "They put it in Murfie the camp place."

According to the CD recycling center of America to fight a lot of people with CDs. Hot about 100,000 pounds of discs that are obsolete, and get every year threw millions each month. Austin estimates in the United States alone there are approximately 15 billion used CDs just sitting around in cellars and bargain campsites.

But no longer in Hoopers basement. He was one of the first customers of the Murfie and says that he is now linked to the convenience.

"It's like an old-school record store, you know, digitized," says Hooper. "It is only an idea that face us." And it is perfect for me. "It is exactly as I wanted to separate me from my CDs."

Digital record store, online CD library, remote garage may be difficult to define sale - Murfie, but that won't stop it is enlarged. Rather, it only accepts now CDs could, but it soon vinyl. And Murfie hopes to one day branch out books, comics, magazines, and the one-stop-shop for your online media library.

TECHNOLOGY, How to Prepare Your Business for Google+

Google+ just opened its doors to the world by enabling open signups and moving to the beta, testing phase. The nascent social network is still thin on features and ways for businesses to properly use it, but its minimalist approach has gained Google+ millions of users in a very short period.
If you've tried it out for yourself, you'll know that making your way around Google+ is a simplistic, uncluttered experience compared to that of Facebook.
Back in July, Google promised that business profiles and features would be coming later, and as we get a little closer to when they are supposed to be announced later in 2011, it's time to position your business to take advantage in advance.
What's Coming for Business in Google+?
Google is preparing Google+ for businesses, as Christian Oestlien, Product Manager for Google+, explains in the video below. Rich analytics and the ability to connect to AdWords will be among those features.
Advertising will likely happen when Google rolls out business features, as Oestlien has stated that AdWords will play a part in the new business features. The ability to extend an existing advertising campaign into Google+ where you can target your client's interests will be invaluable. This will also extend Google's ability to advertise to local users for businesses that only offer services within a specific geographic area, exactly as you can on Facebook.
Stake Your Claim on Google+
Google has asked businesses to hold off on claiming user profiles for their businesses on Google+ until it rolls out certain features. This means that companies will likely have their own pages as they currently do on Facebook. As soon as Google+ business features are announced, you'll want to claim your company's home on Google+ by tasking someone in your company to watch for the announcement and setting up your Google+ business profile as soon as it comes.
You'll also want to stick with your company's real name. While it will be tempting to grab other names, such as keywords related to your business or misspelled versions of your company name, I suspect this practice will very likely be against Google policy. In addition to being your home on Google+, your business profile will be a valuable back-link for search engine optimization purposes.
If you've logged on and noticed that someone has taken your company name, don't panic. What they have created is not a business profile, and those are likely to be a little harder to establish than a user profile. This person is likely not from Coca-Cola, for example. Google has been actively cracking down on people who aren't using accounts for personal use only, and you can expect to be shut down if you try.
Prepare a list of influential people in your industry that you can apply later to your Google+ business profile.
What Edge Will Google+ Have Over Facebook?
Google+ will have a hard slog against Facebook. It will directly compete with the social network that has consistently gotten it right, especially when it comes to business use. Facebook's recently launched business portal is a great all-in-one tool for businesses to manage their presence on Facebook.
Google+ also lacks Facebook's user base of 800 million, although the Google+ user base has blown through 20 million so far and is steadily increasing.
Google's biggest ally against Facebook is Facebook itself. Facebook users have been getting ornery about its massive makeover rolled out this week, to the point where many may look at Google+ as a viable, pared-down alternative. The new Facebook Timeline should be a big concern for all of those new hires in the marketplace who may not want their frat-party status updates resurrected for co-workers on Facebook to see.
There is also the issue of demographics. Google+ is young-adult rich. This is the golden demographic that most marketers want to reach, and being able to reach it through a campaign that can be tracked through Google Analytics is a very attractive value proposition. In addition, there are other tie-in services Google could build into its features for business, which we have covered here.
How Can I Prepare My Ad Campaigns?
You can start researching targeted ad campaigns and the keywords you'll need to use so that when Google+ for business is launched, all you'll need to do is push a button. The first businesses to get on the more competitive keywords on Google+ will likely reap some rich rewards.
Prepare Content for Your Profile
A Google+ business profile is likely to follow the model of the current Google+ user profile. Have a concise, one paragraph description of your company ready, as well as any company logos and product photos that you would want to add. Make sure that your "About" paragraph contains relevant keywords for your business, just like your website copy does.
If we follow the model of the current user profile, videos will be an option as well. If you don't already have a product or company video, consider shooting one, since this can set you apart from your competitors in Google+.
Get Comfortable With Hangouts and Huddles
Google+ Hangouts and Huddles appear extremely useful for videoconferencing and cloud collaboration, and as a webcast platform. While they aren't a replacement for services like GoToMeeting yet, they do a great basic job and may be expanded on in the future.
While we can't say exactly when the new business features will be announced, they're promised for later in 2011, which could mean anytime between now and the end of the year. Prepare your company to hop on as soon as you can.

WASHINGTON | Fri 09/09/2011 07:08 pm EDT

WASHINGTON (Reuters)-AT&T Inc and T-Mobile USA fought against the Justice Department's challenge to its merger proposal, arguing that the deal would "usher in more intense competition".

AT&T and T-Mobile, owned by Deutsche Telekom AG, argued in a federal court filing on Friday that the business of the massif of US $ 39 billion would be releasing spectrum and create new capabilities for Americans whose mobile devices increasingly are broadcasting large amounts of data.

Companies "complaint of the Department of Justice did not come to grips with significant efficiencies that this transaction will generate", said in his presentation.

Soon, the AT&T asked the Court to allow the purchase of T-Mobile to go ahead and require that the Department of Justice pay their expenses in the challenge.

The Justice Department filed a lawsuit to stop the deal last week, saying that the acquisition of T-Mobile USA, the carrier of paragraph 4, by AT&T, paragraph 2, would hurt competition in the wireless market and lead to higher prices.

The Department, in particular, seemed determined to preserve the T-Mobile as a carrier of innovative discount, which held down the wireless prices.

Answer this concern, the AT&T said "T-Mobile is not a competitive constraint, or unique material in AT&T".

"T-Mobile was not a significant innovative or unique in terms of network development and deployment, nor is it likely to become a foreseeable future," AT&T said in the filing with the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Business partners had problem with Justice Department review of the effect of the merger on a national basis rather than on a local basis. They argued that more than 90 percent of u.s. consumers currently have at least five wireless carriers to choose from in their local markets.

They also objected to the method that the Justice Department used to analyze the deal, saying it was too simplistic.

If the merger is approved, the AT&T will dismiss Verizon Wireless as the mobile operator no. 1 of the United States. Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications Inc. and Vodafone Group Plc.

Justice Department spokeswoman Gina Talamona "we continue to believe that this transaction as currently proposal is anti-competitive and harmful to consumers," he said. "We will respond even more in our presentation of the Court".

The action is the biggest antitrust challenge Obama administration yet.

The case is the Department of Justice, v. AT&T, T-Mobile USA, the District Court of the United States, the District of Columbia, no. 11-01560.
